A little chaos

Now back and connected.  Rebooted.

For a couple of weeks in April I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Spain with my Mom. We rented a car and spent our time driving around southern Spain, starting and ending in Madrid. Once we got to our destination we spent most of our time touring around on foot to get a feel of the city or town and enjoy the sights. I was surprised to find out how many people spoke English which definitely made our travels much easier since I do not know very much Spanish. The architecture and layout of the cities are much different than here and I believe a lot of that has to do with the age of the cities. They do however have wonderful green spaces throughout the cities so we got to spend some time wondering through the parks and comparing the plants they have to ones we are used to seeing at home. I was very jealous of the numerous large artichoke plants with harvestable artichokes that we saw as we travelled around. Olive trees are also grown throughout southern Spain which meant we got to enjoy really good olives. In every region we travelled we tried to enjoy the local specialities and wines to go with them. With fabulous weather, food and wine we had an unforgettable time.
