L’Amore Bridal Show
Yesterday we spent the day at the L’Amore Bridal Show. There was a wonderful collection of brides from all over the Okanagan Valley and even a few who came from the Kootenays for the event.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by our booth. If for some reason we missed you we would be happy to tell you about our photography and what we have to offer.

Time to reflect and refresh
Our blog was not the only aspect of our website that was neglected this summer – our website itself was neglected. We have been working behind the scenes recently to review the photos and change a few things around. We are hoping to have everything up and running for the New Year. A New Year – A Fresh Look.
I never get tired of looking at wedding photos or photographing weddings. There is something magical about the love that you can feel in the air and see in the photos of a wedding day.
While looking through the galleries of favorites I keep coming across the wedding of Jess and Dave that was held at Linden Gardens in Kaledan which is located just outside of Penticton. They had a beautiful wedding full of colour and love. Their photos turned out great and we had a lot of fun being part of their day but check out the background – could you ask for a more beautiful wedding location? The gardens are amazing.
We will be changing our pricing in the New Year as well but for those of you who are in the process of booking us for the 2012 we will be honouring our 2011 prices.

Elysium Gardens – A beautiful backdrop
Nature is one of my favourite backdrops for photos. The colours, shapes and shadows created by our environment are hard to beat. And what provides better colour then flowers.

Summerhill Pyramid Winery
Not long ago, Mark and I got to meet with a wonderful couple from Kelowna out at Summerhill Winery. It had been a while since I had been there so I took full advantage of the outing. It was a beautiful sunny fall afternoon to wander the grounds and take in the lake view. Wineries, like Summerhill, are perfect locations for wedding as they have so much to offer. Nothing says the Okanagan more than grape vines with a beautiful view of the lake. A side bonus of Summerhill is that it’s an organic winery that makes fabulous wine.

I figure that since we spent most of the summer photographing weddings that we should start by showing you at least one of the weddings that we photographed. And when I say “we” I mean Mark and one of our wonderful associate photographers. I took a step back this summer from being the second photographer to look after Amber. I must admit that I am looking forward to next summer when I will be able to get out of the office more and get back behind the camera.
Mark and Lindsay Forslund got to spend a beautiful day on Okanagan Lake aboard The Executive Boardroom photographing the wedding of Chantelle and Preston. It was a beautiful day full of beautiful people.
